Is an OITNB star headed to real prison?
According to court records in Washington Heights, Manhattan, Dascha Polanco allegedly assaulted 17-year-old Michelle Cardona. Polanco, who plays prisoner Dayanara Diaz on Netflix’s ‘Orange Is The New Black’, allegedly hit the woman “about the face and head with a closed fist at least three times.” The incident took place July 19 and Polanco was given a desk appearance ticket at the time.
Yesterday, Polanco, 33, was arraigned on assault, attempted assault and harassment charges in Manhattan Criminal Court. Polanco was released without bail and was ordered by a judge to steer clear of Cardona.
So, it sounds like life may not be imitating art … for now. Polanco probably won’t see the inside of a real slammer this time.

Coldplay!
According to E! News the British band will be the main performers February 7th in Santa Clara, CA for SuperBowl 50. A source tells the gossip outlet that the NFL will also definitely showcase other acts in addition to Coldplay. The performance is slated to highlight “the past, present and future of music.”
Did Sandra Bullock’s family grow again?
Yes.
The Gravity actor adopted a little girl. Her name is Laila and she’s three and a half. Just like Sandra’s 5-year-old son Louis, Laila is from New Orleans. In fact, she told “People” that Louis, quote, “spearheaded this whole journey.” She added:
“I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time . . . My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding. That’s a family.”
Sandra worked hard to keep the whole thing a secret:
“Most foster children are in foster care because they were taken from their birth homes under tragic circumstances. And the last thing I wanted was to bring more harm to her because of the nature of my job.”
